Structural Principles
Upstream pressure P1 enters the upper portion of the piston control chamber via the pressure-regulating pilot valve and control pipe; it then flows through the pressure-regulating pilot valve to the outlet. Adjusting the set screw of the pressure-regulating pilot valve sets its opening pressure. When pressure exceeds the set value, the pressure-regulating pilot valve opens, causing the main valve to open as well. This releases system pressure, ensuring system safety and achieving the function of safe pressure relief.
